Old Avenue came together in December, 2007, on a cold winter day in Raleigh, North Carolina. From the first notes they played together, it was clear there was some magic in their musical formula. Like with most bands, there has been some evolution in the sound. While the original feel remained constant, during the first year there was some transition with the lead vocal role. This past summer, in 2008, the picture came together with the addition of Greg Sullivan, vocalist and keyboards. Today, Old Avenue has an exceptional blend of genuine musicianship, exceptional lyrics and a great groove that brings smiles to the faces of their fans. Their special sound appeals to all audiences - from the local scene at North Hills Commons, to nightclubs in the Triangle area, to large venues such as Raleigh Wide Open. Influenced by their time spent on and near the water, the band has a casual, friendly feel - connecting with their fans and sharing their passion for great music. Plans are to continue creating great music together and entertaining audiences across the country.
